QVA held its ordinary general assembly 2018 / 2019

Qatar

National Volleyball Federation held its ordinary general assembly at the

headquarters of the Federation, in the presence of all members of the General

Assembly of representatives of clubs,

Where

the audience addressed a number of important axes, both related to the minutes

of the previous meeting and the future projects and aspirations of the men of

the plane.

Mr.

Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari presided over the ordinary general assembly of the

Qatar Volleyball Federation and praised the technical standards of the clubs as

well as the clubs of Rayyan and the police to win the first and third place in

the Arab Club Championship held recently in Tunisia.

He

also praised the role of clubs in contributing to the success of the Katara

International Beach Volleyball Championship

The

meeting was attended by Qatar Sports Club Chairman Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin

Nasser Al-Thani and heads of teams.

The

agenda of the General Assembly included the approval of the minutes of the

previous meeting and the extraordinary general assembly record, the approval of

reports of past activities and future projects, and the statement of revenues

and expenses until December 2018.

The

clubs praised the fruitful cooperation with the Union during the last period,

as well as the achievements of volleyball teams for the halls and the beach.

Mr.

Ali Ghanim Al-Kuwari briefed the members of the General Assembly on the

decisions of the board of directors and the activation of the statutes adopted

by the Extraordinary General Assembly. The appointment of Mr. Yousef Ahmed

Kanoo Amin to the Secretary-General and Mr. Saeed Salem Al-Jamaani as Secretary

of the Assistant Secretary was approved. Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari Member of

the Board of Directors to complete the current electoral cycle.

It

also discussed the adoption of professional volleyball players for the men’s

club category as of next year. The players are to be registered in professional

contracts in addition to holding several meetings of the heads of the organs to

study and setting the controls and conditions and approval of the Board of

Directors of the Union to activate it during the next two years.

For

his part, the President of the Federation thanked the clubs for their good

cooperation with the Federation, noting the concerted efforts in serving the

game, and praised the preparations of clubs and interest in the Sunni groups.
