QVA has announced the participation of 28 countries in the second edition of the Katara World Beach Volleyball Cup 2019

The Qatar Volleyball Federation has announced the

participation of 28 countries in the second edition of the Katara World Beach

Volleyball Cup2019 which will kick off tomorrow and close next Saturday.

The Qatar volleyball Federation and the General Establishment

of the cultural district «Katara» held a press conference yesterday afternoon

in the open theater to announce the details of the Katara World Cup.

The national team is participating in the championship with

two teams, the first team consists of the duo Sharif Younis and Ahmed Tejan,

ranked ninth in the world and winning the bronze medal for this tournament in

the last edition, including Qatar team “2” duo and Tamer Issa and

Mahmoud Issam.

In a very short period of time, Qatar beach volleyball won

many victories in the Arab and Asian teams, and among the top 10 international

teams according to the International Federation of Volleyball’s ranking earlier

this month. It is ranked ninth with 4440 points, 18 international and

continental championships in which the results reached some of them to the

final stages and achieved their title, the most recent victory and for the

second year in a row the seventh edition of the Qatar Masters Asian Beach

Volleyball Championship held at Aspire zone over three days and concluded on 30

November last year 2018, after defeating his Australian score

(2-0) in the final, comes the Qatari team (1) in the first

position on the Asian and Arab level.
