Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) will host the International Level II Volleyball Coaches Course from 24 to 28 October 2026 in Doha, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop coaching expertise, promote the growth of volleyball and further raise the standard of the game.
The course will be led by renowned American volleyball expert John Kessel, an FIVB lecturer and one of the leading figures in the development of modern volleyball coaching methods. Kessel brings extensive international experience in coach education and volleyball development, having delivered seminars and coaching courses in more than 60 countries worldwide.
The five-day programme reflects QVA's commitment to strengthening the technical and professional development of coaches and expanding their knowledge of the game. It also reinforces Qatar's role in supporting volleyball development at the international, regional and national levels, while providing coaches with the opportunity to benefit from international expertise and practical coaching experience.
Preparations for the course are currently under way, with strong interest from coaches and volleyball professionals around the world. Applications have already been received from participants representing 18 countries, highlighting the international interest in the programme.
Through initiatives such as this, Qatar Volleyball Association continues to invest in the development of qualified coaching professionals, recognising their essential role in developing players, expanding participation in volleyball and supporting the long-term growth of the sport.
