FIVB Level I international coaches course opens with 39 students from 18 nations

Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari — QVA board member, chairman of the beach volleyball committee and secretary general of the West Asian federation — opened the FIVB Level I international coaches course, organised by the Qatar Volleyball Association in cooperation with the FIVB from 11 to 15 June 2026 at the association's headquarters in Doha.

The course brings together 39 students of 18 nationalities — coaches and others working in training — lectured by the international expert Martin Nemec. The programme combines theoretical lectures and practical sessions covering youth training methods, player development, technical and tactical preparation, alongside the rules of the game, refereeing and physical conditioning.

Al-Kuwari said the course reflects the association's commitment to investing in people and qualifying coaches to the latest FIVB-accredited standards, noting that the broad participation from 18 nationalities speaks to the standing the course enjoys.
