QVA refs go hi tech

The referees of Qatar Volleyball Association officiating at the AmirCup volleyball tournament began using wireless communicationtechnology during the second-leg matches of the semi-finals. Thishelps facilitate the process of communication between the first andsecond referees and helps them speeds up taking decisions.

The Qatar Volleyball Association referees celebrated president Mr. Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari win as President of the West Asian Federation and Asian Volleyball Confederation’s vice-president During the breaks in the match between Al Rayyan and Al Arabi with a cake-cutting ceremony on Saturday.

Al Rayyan and Police yesterday entered the final of the Amir Cup Volleyball Tournament with impressive wins at Qatar Volleyball Association Indoor hall. Al Rayyan beat Al Arabi 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-11) in a thrilling semi-final to set up a final clash against Police who defeated Qatar SC 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-21).
