The Qatari beach volleyball dates back to 1991, when the first championship was held in Mesaieed, the second one was held in 1993 in Al Dafna,the third in 1995 in Al Wakra, the fourth in 1996 in Al Khor and theFifth in 1997 in the Palm Tree Island as it was the launch of the real beach volleyball in Qatar then the sixthchampionship wasalso held on Palm Tree Island in 1998.

Qatar participated in the first Gulf championship of beach volleyball in the Sultanate of Oman in December 1999.

In 2000 Doha hosted the Arab championship of beach volleyball and the Gulf beach volleyball Championship.

The second Open Beach Volleyball Championship was held in March 2001, when Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Khalid Al Thani, Union Head(then),crowned Al Salam Team, consisting of the two (Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari and Nizar) as the champions.The Second was Al-Geish Team (1) consisting of the two(Mohammed Taha and Tariq Abdul Habib).The Second was Qatar Team (B) consisting of the two(Abdulrahman al-Gaida and Nasser Muhanna al-Sulaiti) and finally in fourth was Qatar Bank Team (B) consisting of the two(Ali Isaacand Ismail Juma).

In May 2002, the Doha International Beach Volleyball Championship was held with the participation of 19 teams of 13 countries, where Abdullah Ezzeddine, The Union General secretary (then), has crowned Switzerland Teamas the champion after receiving the first place, the Greek team came in second place, Kazakhstan in third place, France In fourth place, Italy in fifth place and Kazakhstan (b) in sixth place.

In 2006, the Qatar beach volleyball team consisting of the two (Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari and Mohammed Anbar Al-Nasser) achieved the first Arab championship in the history of the beach volleyball Union.

The Qatari beach volleyball team has participated in several championship sat the Asian level, such as: Asian Beach Volleyball Championship (China), Loma Championship, Samilla Championship, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XGulf Championship, Arab Beach Volleyball Championship (8) in Jordan, the IX Arab Championship in Doha, Arab Championship in Beirut, Arab Championship (12) and (13) in Jordan, the Arab Championship (16) in Tartous in Syria, the championship of Muscat Beach Volleyball festival in Oman, the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in Iran, the Asian tour in Thailand,Beach Volleyball World tour in Switzerland, Beach Volleyball World tour in Spain, Pan Arab Games in Algeria, the Arab Beach Volleyball Championship in UAE, the world tour in Portugal, the world tour in Poland, the world tour in Ukraine, the world tour In Italy, the Arab championship in Syria, the world tour in Croatia, the World Beach Satellite Championships in Morocco, the Gulf Championship in Kuwait and the Asian Games in Doha.

Since 2013, the beach volleyball support started to achieve the honorable accomplishments such as achieving the first place in the Arab beach volleyball championship in Doha in 2013.

 

In 2014, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • First place in the Asian beach volleyball series in Thailand
  • Bronze medal in the Asian Beach Games
  • Bronze medal in the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in China
  • Bronze medal in the Arab championship in Tunis
  • The First place in the Gulf Volleyball Championship in Doha, Qatar

In 2015, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • First and third place in the Gulf Beach Games Championship in Doha, Qatar
  • First place for Ankara NationalBeach Volleyball Championship
  • Qualified to the Rio de Janeiro Olympics as the top of the Western Asia region
  • Qualified for the beach Volleyball World Championships for the first time and achieving the fifth place

In 2016, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • Winning the first place in Kish Beach Volleyball Championship in Iran
  • Winning the first place in the Continental Championship and qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics
  • First-time participation in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the achieving 9th
  • Winning the Arab first and third place in the Arab championship in Morocco
  • Winning the gold and silver medals in the Asian Beach games

In 2017, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • Winning the first place in the Asian series beach volleyball in Thailand
  • Winning the first place in the Asian Series (Masters) in Qatar, Doha
  • Qualified for the Beach Volleyball World Championships in the Vienna and achieving the 9th place globally
  • Winning the first place in the Asian series beach volleyball in Japan
  • Winning the first place in the Asian series beach volleyball in Indonesia
  • Winning the first place in the Arab volleyball Championship
  • Achieving the second place in Agadir International Beach Volleyball Series (star category)
  • Achieving the second place in Portugal’s Global Beach Volleyball series (star category)

In 2018, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • Winning the third place at Katara International Beach Volleyball Championship (4 stars)
  • Winning the third place in the World Beach Volleyball Championship (five stars)
  • Winning the first place in beach volleyball at the Asian Games in Jakarta
  • Winning the first place in the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in Thailand
  • Winning the first place at the Aspire Master Beach Volleyball Championship in Qatar

In 2019, Beach Volleyball Support achieved the following:

  • Achieving the Fifth place in the Katara International Championship Beach volleyball (four stars)
  • Achieving the Third place in the China World Beach Volleyball Championship (four stars)

 

Beach Volleyball Support brings a historic leap to the top of the international rankings

Qatari Beach Volleyball Support (Sherif and Ahmed) has reached 5th at The World International Ranking of Volleyball Federation on Monday, May 6, 2019 knowing the the participating countries are 220 countries and the teams participating in the world rankings are 1356.
